What we've seen so far of the festival is unreal. We set sail banana leaf boats in the river for good karma and set afloat hot air lanterns (many to be rescued from the river by some nearby children before rising up to the sky.) We watched as hundreds of lanterns were set afloat, some getting caught and setting fire to the nearby trees but thats alright, I'm a little more concerned or the fire crackers exploding all around me. Thai festivals seem to be somewhat life threatening but super fun! We ended the evening taking the rest of it in from a rooftop bar and hope to do it all again tonight!

AND YOU ARE FREAKING ZIPLINING! LIKE ITS NBD??!?!?!? gosh i love you. and this festival is so cool. ahhghaghdj youre having so much fun! and i think its adorable that your mom said shes missing you elephant size. i loved that, too. and i love you and miss you lots and yeah.
OH AND I GET TO SEE SOPHIA ON FRIDAY! like...in holland. cause thats where i am still. isnt that cool? not as cool as riding an elephant, but still! HOLY CRAP GF. i want your computer to work so you dont have to post it into a comment.
Hi Phoebie--We enjoyed your blog and are so proud of you. Sorry to hear you got off to a bad start so stay healthy from now on. We had a good trip to Branson and got home a few hours before our first snow of the season (Nov18),Lucky you to be scooping up "elephant dung" while we have to shovel "snow" in the cold. Looking forward to your next news when you get out of camp.--Love G'ma&G'pa
